Married to Heather, the local MP, we have a daughter, Harriet, who graduated in Law a year ago, and have lived in the area for over twenty years.

Before being elected for Linton Ward in 2007, I had a career in Marketing and Sales, mostly with Bass in nearby Burton-on-Trent.

Over the last four years I have greatly enjoyed working with the communities of Caldwell, Castle Gresley, Drakelow, Linton and Rosliston, and with their Parish Councils, in making Linton Ward safer, cleaner and provided with better facilities.

Appointed Chairman of the Finance and Management Committee and re-elected Leader of the Council in May 2011, I look forward to the continuing challenge of ensuring that South Derbyshire Council can continue to develop improved and value for money services and emerges even stronger through these challenging economic times.
